Chinese astrology, in plain English
Chinese astrology reads the date, time and place you were born, and turns it into a picture of how you are built: what comes easily, what you keep fighting, and when. These pages explain it without the jargon, and they are honest about the places where free readings get it wrong.

Your star sign is shared with one in twelve people. Bazi reads the year, month, day and hour you were born and turns them into a picture of you. Here is how it works, in plain English.
About you
Find your year's element for any year from 1924 to 2043, and see why the one that describes you comes from your birthday instead.
About you
Best matches, teams of three and the pairs that clash, for all twelve animals. Then why a clash between two birth years is only the start of the story.
About you
When will I get married? Your birthday will not name the person, but in Bazi it points to the years when love tends to show up. Here is how those years are picked out, and what a chart cannot tell you.
About you
The animal everyone knows comes from the year you were born, so everyone born that year shares it with you. The part a real reading is built on comes from the day. There are sixty of those, and this is all of them.
Getting it right
Free calculators only count what they print on the screen. A lot of what shapes you sits underneath it. That is how people get told a whole side of themselves is missing, then get advice for fixing something that was never broken.
Getting it right
They are reading the same calendar. What they disagree about is the time you were actually born, because the clock in the room was a government decision, and the reading runs on where the sun was.
Comparisons
Same system, same calendar, different words for it. The one real difference is what Korea's clock does to the hour you were born, and it catches nearly everyone.
About you
One birthday in sixty produces the same trait over and over: people who are warm and easy to like, and who hold themselves to a line nobody else set. Here is where that comes from.
What is coming
2026 is a fire horse year, like 1966. Where the fear came from, when the year really starts and ends, and what it means if you or your child was born in one.
What is coming
The Chinese new year everyone celebrates in 2027 is 6 February. The one a reading uses is the 4th. Born in between, and your chart quietly disagrees with every almanac and every relative.
Read your own chart while you read these
Every term on these pages appears in your own chart. Building it is free and takes a birth date, a time and a place.
